Art
Supply Room List of “Good Juncke”
The
following list might be helpful for folks to be saving for
recycling, donating and salvaging into the art program.
- egg cartons
- baby food jars
- corks
- film canisters
- Pringle cans
- Quaker Oat canisters
- paper towel/toilet paper tubes
- yarn (or yarn scraps)
- felt scraps
- notions (i.e. crochet thread, laces,
buttons, fabric scraps,
etc.)
- whipped cream cartons
- wire (colored or stripped)
- wood blocks (small)
- paper pads
- matt board
*Note:
Anything we can get in bulk or groups (of 30) that can be
easily stacked for a “room set,” we try to save
for future art projects. We get to know our parents’
areas of employment and find folks who work in offices who
discard large quantities of paper, pencils, pens, file boxes,
bags, folders, etc. These make wonderful “starters”
for arranging supplies and keeping the storage areas neat
and accessible.
