The Boise District's commitment to Advanced Placement
began in 1980 at Boise High School, and has grown and
flourished through the years. The District offers an
array of coursework unmatched in the State of Idaho,
and Boise students annually take about a third of the
A.P. exams given in Idaho, while maintaining a far
superior percentage of passing exams. The past fifteen
years have seen unprecendented growth in the program;
since 1995, the number of exams taken has grown by
over 250%, from 498 to 1874.At the same time, the quality
of the program has been maintained, as passing percentages
have been stable over time.
