School Supplies

The Boise School Education Foundation is collecting school supplies for students in need. This nonprofit organization works with teachers, counselors and staff around the district and can help put supplies in the right hands. If you'd like to make a financial contribution or donate supplies, contact the Boise Public Schools Foundation 854.4065.

S.A.F.E. Fund

This fund offers small grants to families in need who do not qualify for other assistance. Many times these funds keep a families utilities turned on, medication purchased, food/clothing items. Last year the S.A.F.E. Fund gave more than $40,000 to families in our district. Families are identified through school counselors and funding is provided through the Education Foundation. For more information, please visit the Foundation website.

Operation Wish Book

This nonprofit organization has been operating in the Boise Valley for 20 years. Founded by retired teachers, Operation Wish Book places new books in the hands of children who do not own books. The campaign runs through the fall and books are distributed through the Salvation Army. Books may be dropped off at any local school. Donations will also be accepted through the Boise Public Schools Foundation. For volunteering opportunities during this event, please contact Juno Van Ocker.
