HOW IS THE COMMUNITY EDUCATION PROGRAM FUNDED?
- The Community Education program is working toward
being completely self-sustaining. It is our goal
over the
next few years to cover all our own expenses and
not draw any funds away from Boise Schools’ student
funding. The fees we charge for classes are making
a big dent in the budget for Community Education
which covers administrative staff, publishing costs
for our
three catalogs, postage for our mailings, and the
administrative overhead for running the program.
We welcome your insight
on ways to reduce costs as we grow the program.
DO I RECEIVE CONFIRMATION OF MY REGISTRATION?
- If you register online, you will be provided an
electronic receipt that you can print. This receipt
is not required for class attendance.
- Students who fax or mail registration forms will
receive no confirmation of enrollment. Students will
only be notified if the class is full or is canceled.
Community Education staff will attempt to reach the
student via e-mail and/or telephone if a class is
canceled or is full.
- Please keep a copy
of your submitted registration form, and schedule
your class(es) on your calendar!

MAY I TEACH A COMMUNITY EDUCATION CLASS?

- We are always searching for new instructors to
join our wonderful team of volunteers who share their
talents with their neighbors - a job skill, a craft,
a foreign language, a performing art, a physical
activity, or a home improvement technique.
- Diversity
is the key to meeting the community’s
needs, so we are always open to fresh ideas for new
and interesting courses.
