Physical Examinations
The pre-seventh grade physical examination (exams
acceptable after May 1st of 6th grade year) is a required
examination. This examination is good for physical
education classes in grades 7-12 and athletics in grades
7-8.
Students participating in interscholastic athletics
(grade 9-12) will be required to have two physical
examinations (beginning of 9th and 11th grade years)
followed by a yearly interim questionnaire to be filled
out by the parents. The physical examination is to
be done on an individual basis. The expense incurred
for the physical will be the responsibility of the
athlete. The examination is to be conducted by a licensed
physician after May 15th of the 8th and 10th grade
years.

Release of Student Directory Information (FERPA)
Most information about Boise School District students
cannot be made public without the consent of parents
or guardians. Federal law prohibits schools or the
District from releasing information without permission,
except for what is termed “directory information”. More

Concurrent Enrollment
Concurrent credit for specific courses taught in the Boise School District is
available through Boise State University, Northwest Nazarene University and
the College of Southern Idaho. Credit is granted by both the high school and
the college sponsoring the course. See the matrix for a list
of courses and the partnering universities. Cost for concurrent
credit is the student’s responsibility. See your teacher or school
counselor for more information.
Dual Enrollment (Post
Secondary)
Post secondary Dual Enrollment is open to 11th and
12th grade students who have not graduated. Students
must be enrolled in a combined total of six district
and university/college courses in order to be eligible
to participate in high school graduation exercises. More
