Course Description
Open to: 8 One Year Course
Prerequisite: Reading 7
Students will be encouraged to develop lifetime reading
habits, to choose his/her own books and conference
with the teacher about the reading. Interpretation
of reading through drama, writing, discussion and art
will be stressed. Students will also experience genre
instruction, storytelling, portfolio keeping, reading
comprehension, study strategies, research, and use
of the newspaper.
