Following are class size statistics for the Boise School District. These averages represent classroom teacher to student ratios. The statistics do not include ancillary personnel, or Special Education ratios.

Elementary class size by grade level:
   Kindergarten    1st Grade     2nd Grade    3rd Grade    4th Grade    5th Grade    6th Grade

Junior high class sizes are affected by the organizational structure used by the schools. Five District schools, East, Les Bois, North, South, and West use a "teaming" structure (a type of "school within a school" organization) in which teachers have an additional planning period to meet as a team to discuss student progress. Class sizes are typically somewhat larger in these schools than in the schools that do not use teaming, Fairmont, Riverglen, and Hillside.
