After School Snack Program

Boise School Food & Nutrition Services participates, through the USDA, in the After School Snack Program. Students who participate in qualifying after school programs at Title 1 Schools are eligible to receive a daily snack at no cost through this program. (For schools that do not qualify for Title I, please contact our office for further guidance.)

After school programs must meet the following criteria in order to qualify for free snacks:

• The after school activity must be structured and supervised.
• The after school activity must include education or enrichment activities and must be open to all children.
• The program must maintain a roster to determine number of children present on a given day.
• The activity must not limit membership for reasons other than space or safety considerations.
• The activity must occur on a scheduled school day.

We are excited to be able to offer this benefit to the children of our District to help keep children healthy.
