Checklist for New Classified Employees

You have been contacted by our office or your administrator to schedule attendance at required meetings and to complete required paperwork and fingerprinting.

Complete the following:

Instructions

Form I-9 ( Employment Verification)

W4 Federal Tax Withholding

Bring completed forms to our office with these supporting documents

Social Security Card (Info on getting a replacement SSN Card)

Documents to establish identity and employment eligibility (see page 4 of Form I-9)

At our office you:

Will be fingerprinted

Will be photographed for your ID badge

Will receive your ID number

Part-time employees only: receive required and optional forms for review.

Attend the District's Benefits Orientation. (Benefits eligible employees only. Some part-time employees are not eligible.)

Receive information on insurance, medical packages, workers' compensation, sick leave, our Sub-Finder system and other elements of our benefits packages.

Required and optional forms will be distributed at the orientation.

Authorization for Direct Deposit (optional)

New Employee Orientation will be scheduled at this time.

Attend the District's New Employee Orientation

Training presentation: "Respectful Workplace: Sexual Harassment"

Review of District policies and procedures: Overtime and Comp time, Time Records, Leave benefits, Sub-Finder absence reporting system, Job Descriptions.

Your email (firstname.lastname@boiseschools.org) and telephone will be set up by our IT department. You do not need to contact them.

• Walk on coaches and athletic officials: Please contact Employment and Benefits at 854-4073 for information and instructions.
• Paraprofessionals: Please contact your supervisor or building administrator for additional requirements specific to your position.
