Become our partner as a Substitute for the Boise School District.

4/28/08 - We are no longer accepting substitute applications for the 2007-2008 school year. We will begin taking substitute orientation reservations for 2008 - 2009 on July 28, 2008.

Have you ever wanted to help children learn and succeed? Substitute teaching and/or working as a classified substitute is a wonderful career for those individuals interested in working with Boise School District students. As a substitute, you indicate your interest in the success of the community education team.

There are occasions when staff must be absent. However, their work must go on without interruption. Therefore, when they are unable to serve, substitutes must step in and make valuable contributions. Substitutes are a vital part of our total education program.

As a substitute, you have the flexibility to work on your schedule and receive training.

If you have questions about substituting please read our Frequently Asked Questions for substitutes.

We require that you substitute for a minimum of two days a month in order to remain active on the substitute list.
