Built in 1905, Longfellow is one of Boise’s most historic elementary schools. With multiple portable classrooms and a small, combined gymnasium and cafeteria Longfellow ranked in the bottom 10 on all three major 2016 Facilities Audit categories (Utilization, Educational Adequacy and the Facilities Condition Index).

By providing new dedicated, individual space to physical education, performing arts and the cafeteria, Longfellow will be better able to accommodate multiple events at one time and meet modern education standards.
When finished, this project will provide our students & community with:

• State-of-the art classrooms that meet modern education standards
• New gym, cafeteria, office and main entrance (all ADA compliant)
• Modern and updated safety features, including fire sprinklers and fire safety features, and new energy efficient windows, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems
