Notice of TDD/TTY and Text Telephone and Access for Persons with Disabilities

The Independent School District of Boise City has installed a telephone system at the Edward L. Davis District Services Center, 8169 West Victory Road, Boise, Idaho 83709 for the deaf, hard of hearing, or non-speaking individuals. The system, called a TDD/TTY or Text Telephone – telecommunication device for the deaf or a teletypewriter– can be reached by dialing 1-800-377-3529 weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. In order to activate the device, the caller must also have access to a TDD/TTY or texttelephone machine. Messages are automatically displayed on a paper printout tape. If a caller who is deaf or hard of hearing or non-verbal wishes to call any school in Boise about a child’s absence or other issues, they may call this number and the message will be forwarded to the appropriate individual.

Persons interested in obtaining information concerning the location of The Independent School District of Boise City services, activities, and facilities that are accessible to persons with disabilities should contact individual schools for further information.
