District Safety & Security Handbook

The Boise School District is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for Students, Employees and Patrons. In order to provide safety information in an accurate and timely manner the District Safety and Security Committee has compiled summaries of Board Policy, District Procedures and applicable Federal and State laws into this handbook.

This handbook consists of many subjects related to District safety or security. The topics are arranged in similar formats for ease of use. Each subject contains the following fields:

  • Subject: Subject indicates the topic addressed on the page
  • Responsible Party: Responsible Party designates the individual or individuals responsible for the implementation or administration of the subject. Ultimately the Superintendent is responsible for most subjects, however if there is a specific designee, the designee is listed. Contact the responsible party with comments or additional questions.
  • Forms/Reports: Forms/Reports indicates any applicable forms or reports needed
  • Cross-References: Cross-References list any applicable Board Policies, Board Approved Procedures, District Procedures, Idaho Code, United States Code and any handbook listings of the subject. For more information on any subject, review the cross references carefully.

Questions regarding this handbook should be addressed to Mike Munger, District Safety & Security Specialist.
