About Mr. Gibbons

I believe a large part of what makes a school counselor successful in working with students is who that person is.  In many careers people change dramatically once they get to work.  In my job as an elementary counselor there aren't many differences between Christopher Gibbons and Mr. Gibbons.  I am basically the same person whether I'm at Adams, or at home with my family.

So...what makes me tick?

Utah Idaho mapI was born in Salt Lake City, UT and lived there until I was about 9 years old.  The summer before my 4th grade year I moved to Boise.  Except for my first two years of college, I've been here ever since.

My parents both live in the Boise area.  They got a divorce when I was younger, which I think helps me relate to students who are experiencing a divorce in their families.

I am married and I have three wonderful children.  The challenges of parenthood are increasing by the minute!

I have one sister who is a few years older than I am.  She is married, has three children, a wonderful husband, several animals, and lives in Nampa.

In my free time I love to go golfing, work in my yard, and play with my children.  At our house we have a dog named Chelsea.  We have to keep a close eye on the plants in the backyard, Chelsea LOVES to dig.
