I am a native Idahoan, who enjoys the many seasons
we experience in the City of Trees. When
it is just about any weather, I still enjoy fresh air
and walking. Our family loves camping, boating, swimming,
bike rides, and bowling!
I have a son who is entering his school years and
that has become exciting to be a parent, while an educator.
I know what it is like to be a parent volunteer! (In
case you were wondering, the dragon is my son on Halloween
a couple years ago!)
My inspiration for becoming a Reading Specialist comes
from my background of teaching 1st Grade
for many years. When a child loves reading and feels
successful, I know I have given the best gifts a person
can receive: Imagination, dreams, curiosity, knowledge
and empowerment. What can I say? It does not get much
better than that for me.
