FROM THE NURSE:
My name is Colleen Jensen R.N. It is has a real pleasure
to be working with our English Language Learning students.
Just a few reminders listed below.
Medication Policy:
All medications,
prescription and OTC (over the counter), must be put in the
Nurse’s Office. Students are NOT to carry them, or
put them in their lockers.
Those students who have inhalers must bring their inhaler
to the nurse and she will determine if the student needs to
keep the inhaler with them. Often times, students don’t
remember to bring their inhalers to school everyday. If your
student only needs to use their inhaler occasionally, it is
in their best interest to have the inhaler in the nurse’s
office where it will always be available during the school
day.
Routine health screenings are done as needed at our school.
Some of the health screenings we do include hearing evaluations,
vision, and dental exams. We also do sports
physicals.
Health and Hygiene teaching is another area we will be addressing
as part of Physical Education classes here at the Boise Language
Academy.
If you have any questions regarding any medical issues, please
feel free to talk to me at 854-4220.
Sincerely,
Colleen Jensen R.N.
