Planning ahead for college is the best step you can take to assure that your college career will be successful. Begin with a challenging course of study and maintain it throughout high school. College admissions officials stress the importance of a rigorous curriculum.

As a senior, begin applying to colleges early. (Some college have deadlines as early as November.) Apply to a range of schools; have a dream school, but also have a safety net school.
