“Success ~ To laugh often and much; to win
the respect of intelligent people and affection of children; to
earn the appreciation of honest critics …to appreciate
beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit
better…to know even one life has breathed easier because
you have lived. This is success.” Ralph
Waldo Emerson
Focus areas:
- Classroom guidance: I teach lessons in Conflict Management,
Safe Choices, Substance Abuse Prevention and Careers to all
children.
- Small groups: I am available to run small groups in areas
such as divorce, friendship, self-esteem, etc. I love
getting to know students well and being able to help them with
difficult personal issues.
- Individual work with students: Children are free to come
and talk when they need to. I am a good listener and
I give them positive feedback as we solve problems together.
- Parent education: I teach a parenting class in the evenings
called Love and Logic. I highly recommend it to parents!
- Parent/staff consultation: I am always available to consult
with parents and staff members.
- Other: I help plan Red Ribbon Week activities (a drug prevention
program), coordinate Operation School Bell for children
needing school clothes, and am the 504 Coordinator at C.M.
Jeanie Ballanti
Educational background and experience: I have a master’s
degree in psychology and a lifetime teaching credential.
I am the proud Mom of two grown sons, Loren and Jared. In
my spare time I love to walk the Greenbelt or workout at Gold’s,
play the piano, share dreams with my dream group, knit, and read.
