About Mrs. Amburn

laying books

My name is Kimberly Amburn and I am fortunate to have the opportunity to be your child’s teacher. I am very passionate about teaching and truly do feel it is a very honorable profession. I enjoy getting to know each student and their very unique personalities. Each child has a place in our room and they are a valuable asset.

I want to assure you that my goal is to have each child reach their greatest potential, have an upbeat fifth grade year, and work in a warm and nurturing environment that is conducive to learning. I am committed to giving your child a quality education in an atmosphere that is positive. I would like to thank you in advance for entrusting your child with me this year. I am sure we will have fun, fulfilling and productive year.

I have been teaching for seven years at Cynthia Mann. I have taught in sixth and second grade and I am excited to be teaching in the fifth grade. I enjoy teaching and working with technology and I serve as one of the technology coordinators in our building.

I was born in Sacramento, California and moved to Idaho in 1994. I have been married for ten years, and I have a son who is two years old who keeps me busy when I am not at school. We also have a miniature "weiner" dog named Bailey. I enjoy scrapbooking and reading good books, but need more free time to do both. :)
