Welcome to Franklin Elementary School
Franklin School will be closing
at the end of the 2007 - 2008 school year. Join us as
we celebrate our history and memories! All
the details are on this special page.
Franklin is a wonderful place to
learn! Located on the corner of Franklin Road and Orchard Street, it is
a building with history and character. Built as a high school in about
1936, the interior boasts high ceilings, wide hallways and broad
staircases. It is beautifully decorated and has a warm welcoming
feeling that is felt by all who work and visit here.
We serve 410 students in grades kindergarten through
six. Around 100 of our students speak another language and are enrolled
in the English Language Learners program. All of our students are held
to high standards of achievement, and scores on state assessments
attest to that. Parents support these high standards and contribute to
the success of their children in many ways. Our very highly qualified
and dedicated staff includes classroom teachers and many support
personnel who treat all children with kindness and respect.
We pride ourselves in providing a school environment
that is safe, friendly and focused on achievement. We love visitors and
invite you to stop by and check in at the office for a visit anytime!
