An overview of our Accelerated Reading Program

What is Accelerated Reader (AR)?

AR is a reading enhancement program that enables teachers to monitor a students' reading progress and comprehension. Students are given a reading level range based on the results of their Star reading test. After a student reads a book, they may take an AR test to check their understanding of the book they've just read. The results of the test let the teacher know how the student is progressing.

Check out our AR lists at the Public Libraries and below. Feel free to have your students read books from home and other Libraries to test on.
