My name is Christene Nichols, I am your student’s
Spanish and/or Bridge World Studies teacher. I am looking forward
to working with you during the school year!
I recently got married and moved toBoise, Idaho to be with
my husband. I am a native to Colorado; however, I lived in
England, Mexico, Australia, New York, and Utah. I graduated
high school from Fairport Senior High School in Upstate New
York and attended the University
of Denver with a swimming and academic scholarship. I swam
all four years at the University of Denver and was elected
co-captain my senior year. I double majored in Spanish and
International Studies and graduated college a year early. During
my senior year I worked on my Masters’ of Education in
Curriculum and Instruction. I taught for two years at a new
high school in Highlands Ranch, Colorado named Rock Canyon
High School. In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, outdoor
activities (running, climbing, hiking, skiing, etc.), swimming,
watching movies, photography, and hanging out with friends.
My goal is for students to be comfortable using the knowledge
that students have acquired so that they can apply what they
know in day to day life. Both Spanish and World Studies are
important subjects because they allow students to broaden their
horizons by introducing students to new culture and ideas.
Students should come to class prepared with an open mind and be ready to learn
each day. During the year, students will be asked to complete
various projects and assignments that will test their skills
and knowledge that they have acquired during the year.
