I am the school nurse for Hillside Jr. High School and
Marian Pritchett High School @ Salvation Army Booth. Most of my
time is at Hillside but on
Wednesday afternoons and Thursday mornings, I am at Marian Pritchett.
A little bit of info about me:
I was raised in Post Falls, Idaho and have lived in Washington,
Montana, Nevada, Texas, and Colorado. We moved to Boise in 1991
from Denver, Colorado. I am married and have three
grown children. My interests are needlework, genealogy, reading,
and travel in the United States.
I graduated from Sacred Heart Hosptial School of Nursing
in 1969 and from West Texas State University with a BSN in 1986.
I have worked in hospitals for twenty years, public health for five
years, and have been a School Nurse for Boise Schools since
1994. I have been at Hillside since 1998. I became a
National Certified School Nurse in 2002.
If your child needs to take medication at school or has
any special health needs at school, please contact me.
Authorization forms are required for any daily medication. All
medication must arrrive in school in the original bottle with current
directions for administration. Inhalers for students with asthma
may be carried by the student only when a completed authorization form
is on file. I do keep a small supply of acetaminophen and
ibuprofen in my office. This will only be dispensed with
permission over the phone on a one time basis. Any further doses
require written authorization and the student will be asked to supply
his own medication for more frequent needs. Please try to notify
the office is your phone numbers for contact change so that we may
reach you quickly when the need arises. Thank you.
