Liberty School is pleased to announce the hiring of Anne Desaulniers, Lead Lower Elementary Lead Montessori Teacher

Anne received a BA in Elementary Education from Boise State University in 1988, and an MS in Educational Technology from Boise State University in 2003. In September 2008, she completed coursework in Montessori Education and earned certification from the North American Montessori Center for lower elementary students (ages 6-9).

Anne has been teaching in the Boise School District since 1989. She taught at Adams Elementary for nine years in grades 2, 4 and 4/5. Then moved to Trail Wind Elementary and spent four years as a fifth grade teacher. At Monroe, she taught 3/4 and 4/5 combination classes, third grade and first grade.

For three years between her time at Trail Wind and Monroe, she was a Boise Schools Technology Fellow, an assignment that gave her the opportunity to explore and teach effective integration of technology into the learning process.

Anne and her husband Roland and have three grown children: Allison, Lisa and Michael. Allison and her husband Jared have three children: Mason, Cassidy and Preston. Lisa and her husband Kevin have two girls: Taylor and Izzy. Michael is single and has three dogs.

Her hobbies include spending time with her grandchildren, reading, Sudoku, all kinds of games, working out, swimming, traveling and learning. She enjoys writing and creating projects with digital media.

Anne has been interested in the Montessori philosophy for some time.Her children and grandchildren were Montessori educated.Though she has taught in the public schools, she has spent many hours volunteering at Eagle Montessori.Her training and volunteer experience, along with knowledge of public education, have given her the necessary skills to help make Liberty’s Montessori program a success.
