The
Longfellow PTO is a volunteer organization of teachers, administrators,
and parents working together to promote the education and well
being of all children at home, in school, and in the community.
We encourage all parents and educators to join. You don't
have to join a committee or volunteer hours to help, just having
you as a member supports PTO efforts and our school.
Of course if you can participate, so much the
better! Your teachers, your school, and the PTO have many volunteer
opportunities available. Before school, during school, or after
school; on school grounds, or take home; an hour or two once
a month, or a regular shift each week, whatever you can do
we have a project waiting for you!
We also need your ideas as much as we need your hours. Of
course not every idea can be used (although we can use every
volunteer hour!), still, your thoughts might be just the idea
we've been looking for.
We welcome everyone to attend the PTO meetings. A schedule of
upcoming PTO meetings will be sent home with each student and
published each week in the school newsletter.
