I was born and raised in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. After several moves with the Air Force, I graduated from Park College in Kansas City, Missouri with a BA in Elementary Education. I spent 4 years as the Education Officer at Mtn. Home AFB and in 1976, I moved to Boise.

I started with the Boise School District as a substitute in 1977 and in 1979 I was hired full time at Highland's Elementary School. I took 5 years off to stay at home with my children, and returned to teaching at Liberty Elementary School in 1985 after receiving my Master's Degree in Reading from BSU. I spent the 1986-87 school year as a Reading Specialist at Hillcrest, and came to my current assignment (Longfellow) in August 1987. I have taught grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. I have enjoyed teaching all of these grade levels, but 5th grade is my favorite.

I have two children, Kori is a first year Resident at Vanderbuilt University Medical Center in Nashville and Dusty, a senior Business Finance major at BSU. My husband Rob is a contractor. Our family loves to snowmobile in the winter with West Yellowstone being a favorite spot. I love to cook (and eat), read, and travel. Every summer I return to Pennsylvania to spend time with my family.
