Welcome to Morley Nelson Elementary!
Starting in the fall
of 2008, we will be soaring to new heights. It is estimated we
will be moving into our school mid-July and will be officially
open on August 4, 2008. We will welcome students
from Cole, Jackson, Horizon and Valley View Elementary Schools
and open with 550 students, grades PreK-6.
Morley Nelson Elementary is lucky to have staff from a
variety of locations and areas of expertise, to create a community
of learners striving for excellence. We will offer Title
I services, English Language Learners’ services, Early Childhood
Special Education Preschool, and Special Education Services, along
with many other instructional programs. We will also provide students
with enhanced technology integrated curriculum via a SMART Board
in every classroom.
I am pleased to announce the on-site addition of a Just
for Kids Day Care and a Community Center run by Boise
Parks and Recreation.
Both of these programs will benefit students beyond the school
day.
It is with much excitement I hope to meet and welcome students,
parents and the community to our school. I believe in strong parental
involvement in any way possible. It is never too early to get
