| North Junior High School Choirs are part
of a long tradition of excellence in the Choral Program of the Boise Schools
Music Department..
We have four regular choirs at North JHS. Choir is a regular class, unlike choir in the elementary school. You don’t have to give up your lunch or come early! All our choirs are year long classes. |
| Treble I (Bellissima) is the choir for all 7th grade girls who have a desire to sing. This choir participates in the Fall Concert, the Downtown Holiday Parade, the Winter Holiday Concert, Solo and Ensemble Festival, the Spring Pre-Festival Concert, Boise District Choir Festival, and the Pops Concert. |
| Treble II (Bellissima) is open to all 8th and 9th grade girls who want to sing. This choir participates in the same performances as Treble I plus the Boise District Junior High Choir Clinic and the Boise Music Week School Night Concert. |
| Tenor/Bass (Bravissimo) is our choir just for guys. It is open to all 7th, 8th and 9th grade boys who want to sing. This choir participates in all the same performances as Treble II. |
| Chamber Choir (Carissima) is North's select/advanced choir and is open by audition to 8th and 9th grade girls who love to sing. This choir participates in all the performances mentioned above as well as the Boise District Chamber Choir Clinic, Boise High Madrigal Dinner (guest performers), and other community events. In addition to the regular performances Chamber Choir travels to Pasco, Washington each year to take part in the Columbia Basin College Jazz Unlimited Choral Festival. In 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006 Chamber Choir brought home 1st place in the Junior High Concert Choir division. |
