Yes; it's true, Mrs. Hartman and I are sisters; and yes, I am a viola player!   Mrs. Hartman and I come from a musical family, our father taught at the university level as a voice teacher until retirement.  The holidays were always fun at our house.  The family tradition has continued and both of us have children who have participated in music.

I have been teaching in the Boise Public Schools for 15 years.  I currently teach at North Junior High, Highlands Elementary and Roosevelt Elementary.

The North Orchestra program is a successful program that I am proud to be a part of.  Our orchestras continue to receive superior ratings at the Junior High Festival every spring.  The students at North are blessed to be part of this program and have the great fortune to continue on with Mrs. Hartman and her successful program at North and Boise High School.  To hear more about the program at Boise High please check out their website (www.boisehighstrings.com).

I started teaching later in life because I had chosen to be a stay- at- home mom  until our children were both in school.  While I was a stay-at-home mom, I also taught private lessons.  My husband and I have two wonderful children.  In addition to teaching, I love to spend time at home reading, knitting, crafting and other various hobbies.
