OBJECTIVES:  Determine what colonists believed government should do and what the limits should be.  Evaluate the Native American response to the growth of the colonies.  Determine the effects of the cost of the French and Indian War.

Monday, Oct .19: Consider roots of representative government.  Read article on the Middle Passage and annotate it.

Tuesday, Oct. 20:  Notes on the French and Indian War.

Wednesday, Oct. 21:  Notes on the Navigation Acts.  Analyze an image of the Navigation Acts.

Thursday, Oct. 22:  Turn in analysis of painting.  Notes on the Road to Revolution.  Study sheet for the EOC:  complete chart #1 and 2.  Due BOP tomorrow.

Friday, Oct. 23:  Notes on the Road to Revolution continued.  Complete EOC sheets #3 and 4 for Monday.

 OBJECTIVE:  Compare Thomas Paine's Common Sense with Thomas Jefferson (and committee)'s Declaration of Independence.  Trace the path of the Revolution.

 PROBLEM:  How did the Patriots justify independence?  What was the progression of the war for independence?
