Tuesday, Nov. 24:  Reading on Shay's Rebellion. Create a cartoon depicting the problem of power as seen in Shay's Rebellion.

Wednesday, Nov. 25:  Work on cartoon of Shay's Rebellion.  Due Monday BOP.

Thursday ~ Friday:  Thanksgiving Holiday!

Tuesday, Dec. 2:  Meet the Framers at the Constitutional Convention and the themes of the Convention.  Select and write scene for play.

Wednesday, Dec. 3:  Analyze the themes of the Convention, through rewriting a play.

Thursday, Dec. 4:  Determine needs for graduation with Mr. Rutte.

Friday, Dec. 5:  Conclude rewriting of play.  Notes on the themes of the Constitutional Convention due Monday, BOP.

Problem:  How does the Constitution define, contain and limit the power of government?

Monday, Dec. 8:  Compare and contrast the Articles of Confederation and the Constitution.  Examine major compromises at the Constitutional Convention.  Handouts due Tuesday, BOP.

Tuesday, Dec. 9:  Read The Federalist No. 51 and reflect on the role of power in government.  Illustrate the basic principles of the Constitution. and the Supremacy Clause. 

Wednesday, Dec. 10:  Examine the branches of the government under the Constitution with regard to separation of powers and checks and balances.  Examine the role of the Preamble.  Complete the controls chart with illustrations.  Due Thursday, BOP.

Thursday, Dec. 11:  Examine the system of federalism and complete the powers charts.  Read The Federalist No. 51 and reflect on its meaning.  Complete chart on Federalists v. Anti-Federalists.  Complete the crossword. Due Friday, BOP.

Friday, Dec. 12:  Reread The Federalist No. 51 and answer the questions related to ambition and controls. Examine the protection of individual rights under the Constitution.  Complete Bill of Rights mini poster by Monday.  Due Monday BOP.  Study for EOC Tuesday, December 16th over the weekend.
