OBJECTIVE:  Understand the transformation in American politics under the presidency of Andrew Jackson.  Consider Jackson's treatment of Native Americans and rising conflicts over sectionalism.

Monday, February 9:  Read and outline Chapter 12, section 1 ("Jacksonian Democracy and States' Rights").  Notes due Tuesday BOP.

Tuesday, February 10:  Read "Jackson's Policy Toward Native Americans", Chapter 12, section 2 and take notes.

Wednesday, February 11:  Notes on "Prosperity and Panic", Chapter 12, section 3.  Notes due Thursday.

Thursday, February 12:  Open note quiz on Jackson.  Create political cartoon of one aspect of Jacksonian Democracy or Jackson's presidency.  Due Tuesday BOP.

No classes Friday due to Teachers' In-Service.  School resumes Tuesday due to Presidents' Day holiday Monday.
