Monday, February 9:  Continue research.  Notes on creating an annotated bibliography.

Tuesday, February 10:  Continue research in library.  Annotated bibliography due Wednesday.

Wednesday, February 11:  Turn in copy of annotated bibliography. Continue research in library.  Begin work on project (PowerPoint or essay or movie)

Thursday, February 12:  Reading logs 1 and 2 due BOP.  Continue research in library.  Project due on flash drive and printed out on Monday, February 23rd.

Thursday, February 19:  Continue work on project on your own.  Do Chapter 7, sections 3, 4 and 5 quizzes on Andrew Jackson.  Due Monday BOP.  Read and take notes on Chapter 9, section 1 (Manifest Destiny and Western Migration).  Do self quiz.

Friday, February 20:  Continue work on project on your own. Project due Tuesday BOP on flash drive.

OBJECTIVE:   Consider the effect of the belief in Manifest Destiny on the expansion of the United States west and on the War with Mexico.

Monday, February 23:  Turn in project on flash drive.  Create political campaign poster for Andrew Jackson. 

Tuesday, February 24:  Analyze partner's campaign poster.  Read and take notes on Chapter 9, section 2 (Texas and the Mexican-American War).  Do self quiz.

Wednesday, February 25:  Read and outline Chapter 9, section 3 on effects of territorial expansion.  Do self quiz. Watch documentary on the Gold Rush in California.

Thursday, February 26:  Notes on effect of Manifest Destiny from Power Point.

Friday, February 27:  Notes on final territorial acquisition of San Juan Island.  Do DBQ exercise at end of Chapter 9.  5 paragraph essay due Monday, typed.

Thursday, March 5: Watch documentary on Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton and take notes.  Homework:  read Declaration of Sentiments from Seneca Falls Convention and answer questions.
