Monday, March 17:  Turn in UGRR map and letter to "your" master.  Discuss ASEH themes.  Return EOC essay and discuss.  Review compromises.

Tuesday, March 18:  Choose novel and group.  Select character for journal writes.  Complete novel contract.  Read Chapter 15, section 3 (Slavery Dominates Politics) and take notes.

Wednesday, March 19:  Video and notes on John Brown and Harper's Ferry.  Take notes on effect of Lincoln's election in Chapter 15, section 4.

Thursday, March 20:  Battle notes for 1861 and the first shots at Fort Sumter.  First novel entry due Friday, BOP.

Friday, March 21: Ken Burns' documentary on opening of Civil War.  Talent Show.

Wednesday, April 9:  Timeline notes for 1863.  Battle Notes 1864, Sherman's March to the Sea.

Thursday, April 10:  Read Chapter 17, section 3 on the surrender of Lee.  Battle Notes 1865, Surrender at Appomatox.  Journal #4 due Monday, BOP.

 Friday, April 18:  Novel Day.  Turn in illustration.  Discuss 4 sticky pad observations.  Take notes from text (Chapter 18, sections 1,2 and 3).  Due Monday.
