Course Description
Physical science is an activity-based program, which focuses on student discovery in a small group setting. Students will work individually, in pairs, and also in groups to explore physics and chemistry. The first semester will focus on properties of matter, the physics of motion, energy, magnetism and electricity. In the second semester, atomic theories, the periodic table, nuclear energy and chemical reactions will be explored. Students will investigate these topics through the use of the scientific method, class discussion, journal writing and model building.
Assignments & Grading
Assignments in physical science count toward your grade as follows:
Assessments (Tests,Projects) 60%
Labs & Homework 30%
