We hope your students enjoyed their long weekend. Students should
have brought home a paper copy of the progress reports for the 1st Quarter
on Wednesday. We return to a five-day week this week, but Friday is our
October Skies Team Day, so the students follow a different schedule with the
team that day. In the morning, we will be constructing hot air balloons
out of tissue paper and rockets out of 2-liter pop bottles and watching the
inspirational movie October Sky. Around noon, we will make our way to
Camels Back park to eat lunch and launch our balloons and rockets. Please
make sure your students bring a sack lunch from home or sign up for one from the
cafeteria through Ms. Veigel. Some of you may have been contacted about
helping out Friday morning. We look forward to seeing you. Anyone
else is welcome to join us at the park in the afternoon to see the launch of our
balloons and rockets. Have a great week!
