The automated Follett System provides a quick and accurate system for checking
books in and out as well as keeping track of our inventory.
Students and staff have access to a PC-to-TV connection so
that we can teach library skills, show how to conduct research
and provide media presentations for teacher workshops.
In addition, the library has a TV/VCR and 5 networked
computers. One computer is for checkout and the others
are for card catalog searches, doing research, working with
the Accelerated Reader program and accessing the Internet.
Our students, grades 1
through 6, have
two 1/2 hours of scheduled library time a week and free access
whenever there are no regular classes or special programs
(such as staff inservice) using the
library. Kindergarten students visit the library once a
week for 20 minutes. During our library times we may read
short books or novels, learn library skills or enjoy library
related games and activities. Our students love the library and are excited
about reading! If
you have questions ..... check out your library!!!
