What's Happening

Farewell to a great school and a great year

As many of you have heard I am retiring at the end of this school year. I have had some really wonderful experiences here at Owyhee-Harbor. I will really miss all of you. I sincerely want to thank you all for the support you have given me. Ms. Susan Hotinger from Cole Elementary will be coming over next year. She is such a talented marvelous person, I’m sure all will be extremely happy to have her. “Check her out @ the library”.

AR book quizzes

Thanks to the generosity of our students and parents, we have purchased many new quizzes for our new additions to the library as well as some titles we have had shelved for a while. Many have requested quizzes for books and we try to honor those requests as money permits. If however you wish to purchase a quiz for the school, it is very nominal in cost and the quizzes remain permanently on our database for all to take. Check out the updated AR lists by following the links on this website.

Missing library books

Help! The library is missing many books! Please help us find those lost books. With your spring cleaning, look to see if you have any Owyhee books laying around and return them to the school. Thanks so much.

Fun things to do!

Hobbies? Got a good hobby? If not, why not start one. This month the USPS is celebrating Stamp Collecting. Great site to begin with: http://www.upps.gov

Pop up some popcorn! Spread a sheet out over the dining table, set up a popcorn popper in the center and prepare with oil and corn, BUT leave the top off. Pop corn and enjoy the fun of watching it jump. Nation Popcorn Month is this month.
