Where in the
world is Library Mouse?
April
2009
Dear Mrs. del Campo and students,
Books! Books! Oh, wonderful Books! Always inspiring
me to learn more and to venture off to all parts of the world. Three of my most
recent reads have inspired me to travel with a few unsuspecting library patrons.
The first book, 'The Broccoli Tapes' by Jan Slepian,
inspired me to visit the southern-most state of the United States, which is an
island state.
The second book, 'Scat' by Carl Hiaasin, inspired
me to visit the Sunshine state which is mostly surrounded by water on three sides,
forming a peninsula.
The third book, Chibi by Barbara Breener and Julia
Takaya, inspired me to visit "The Land of the Rising Sun ", which is a Country
across the Pacific Ocean from the United States. This Country is made up of four
main islands.
If you think you know the three most recent places I
have traveled to stop by the Library to put your guess in the drawing. Hint:
an island state, a peninsula state, and a Country made up of four main islands.
Yours
truly,
Library
Mouse
P.S. Celebrate
Libraries! Keep reading!
