A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
William Howard Taft Elementary is a school with a
tremendous amount of diversity. Our instructional program allows us to
meet the needs of students who come to us below grade level as well as challenge those who are in need of
enrichment. The key to student success at Taft is directly related to
the expertise and commitment of our staff as well as to their
willingness to embrace a process of continuous improvement that places
the needs of our clients - parents, students and community members - at
the forefront. This process of allowing data to inform and drive the
instruction in our classrooms has been the primary vehicle for the
success that our school is currently experiencing.
As a visitor to our school you will not only see a warm
inviting environment complete with benches, rugs, soft music, plants
and fountains, but you will see classrooms where students are engaged
in activities which enhance and extend their learning. I would
encourage you to pay us a visit as you go about the business of
