Students learn basis skills for entry-level employment in the collision repair industry. Emphasis is on: industry safety standards, tools and heavy equipment used in the shop environment, basic panel repair, welding, and the legal environmental issues related to handling of hazardous materials in the industry.

Students focus on advanced skill development with hands-on application. Emphasis is on: employability skills, industry safety standards, use of tools and heavy equipment, identification of automotive bodies and frame repair, trim accessories, body and frame repair, management/inventory, control, hardware and repair, and basic painting and refinishing. Continued emphasis is placed on the handling of hazardous materials in the industry.

Students focus on advanced skill development in the collision repair industry. Areas of emphasis include: panel replacement, steering, suspension, electrical systems, glass replacement, painting, refinishing, thermoplastic and fiberglass repair and estimating.

Repair Technology: Internship

Repair 1, 2, 3 and Instructor Approval
The student works 10-15 hours per week for an approved collision repair employer while enrolled in a participating high school. The internship is paid according to a training agreement between employer and student prioThe student applies skills learned in a lab setting and demonstrates ability to work with other employees, management and customers. Work ethic and attitude will be emphasized during the internship.
