Home Technology Integration (HTI)

Prerequisite: Electronics or Networking or Instructor Approval

This course will focus on the installation process of the following subject components: home alarm installation, irrigation systems, pool and hot tub control, home theater, electrical controls, and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) controls, integration and troubleshooting of vendor-neutral automated home sub-systems: Home Security, Audio/Video, Computer Networks, Electrical Wiring, HVAC (Heating/Air conditioning systems), Cable/Satellite, Broadband, Telecommunication and Structured Wiring through hands-on activities and labs. Students will learn the proper us of tools required for installation of the different components as required by industry standards. Students will be eligible to receive national certification in each of the subjects.
