Planning ahead for college is the
best step you can take to assure that your college career will
be successful. Begin with a challenging course of study and
maintain it throughout high school. College admissions officials
stress the importance of a rigorous curriculum.
Timberline Career Center offers yearly calendar guidelines
for sophomore, junior, and senior students and parents. These
calendars will assist families in navigating the college
process.

Take the
SAT and/or
ACT your junior year in the
event you want to retake the tests as a senior. Timberline High
School is here to help you prepare. We offer free
test prep classes at Timberline
High School for both the SAT and ACT. Learn more valuable
testing
strategies.
- As a senior, begin applying to colleges
early. (Some colleges have deadlines as early as November.)
Apply to a range of schools; have a dream school, but also
have
a safety net school.
- Do not be disappointed if you do not get
accepted to the college of your choice. There is a college
education for every student that wants one.
- Use the month to month calendars listed
above as a guide to assist you with planning for your junior
and senior years of high school.
