| I am a social teacher. I think children learn when they understand that we all have many things to teach each other. I came to this profession to help children see their worth. Children need to know they are secure and safe before they can learn. I feel very committed to each child’s future academic success. Children should be held to high expectations. We should expect that they are capable, responsible and respectful. Without those expectations, they can be none of those things. Every day, we learn about respect, tolerance and peaceful problem solving. When a child is respected and can return respect, learning can take place. Children offer us the window of tomorrow. What we see in them is what will be. |
