I am thrilled to be a part of the Trail Wind team! My love for teaching goes back to my childhood years. As I grew older I realized how a teacher can positively influence a young person's life. I knew that I wanted to play an important role in the development of a child, so I became a teacher.

I like to think of our school as one big family. I believe that it is imperative that the community, parents and staff work together as a team to help our children succeed and become responsible and contributing citizens. With teamwork we can provide a safe, caring and nurturing environment in which every child is valued. With this partnership, each child will be able to expand their social-emotional, intellectual and academic growth. Students in my classroom will work together, and learn to respect and appreciate each other's differences.

Children learn best when instruction is provided in a variety of ways to meet their needs and abilities. Direct instruction along with hands on learning should be challenging and interesting in order for students to achieve their fullest potential. I like to provide fun opportunities to learn which in turn instills the desire to acquire knowledge. These are the key elements that will lead students to succeed in our ever challenging society.
