The students in my class will focus on learning to become confident, successful
individuals by helping to build a positive, responsible community within
the classroom. Our community will be responsible for determining guidelines
and expectations necessary in order for each individual to reach their
full potential as a student. Through team work, we will provide a safe,
caring and nurturing environment in which every child is valued.
Direct instruction, hands on learning and drill and practice will be utilized in the content area. A combination of these strategies depends on class strengths with emphasis placed on individual needs. Ongoing individual assessments will provide the feedback necessary to tailor instruction to meet individual needs. Parents and teacher will work on the building of a partnership. This partnership is vital to the success of each student in the social-emotional, intellectual and academic growth of each child. |
