In
this project you will accomplish three tasks:
1. Gather information about your favorite
animal.
2. Fill out information about your favorite animal in graphic
organizers.
3. Use the graphic organizers to write a report about your
favorite animal.

1 - Gather Information
1.
Decide what your favorite animal is.
2. Visit the websites below to learn more about your
animal.
(Look
especially for these four categories: Babies, Facts, Interactions,
and Habitats.)

- Graphic Organizers
Now that you
have learned about your animal, it's time to fill in some graphic
organizers. Click on the link to begin this process. Be sure
to fill out all four organizers and to print them out when you finish.

3 - Write the Report
Finally
you're ready to write the report. Take the graphic organizers and turn
them into sentences and paragraphs.
Here are some
tips:
1. The
topic of each organizer can be turned into a topic sentence.
2.
Each box of the organizer can be turned into a detail sentence.
3. You
should do a separate paragraph for each different topic, 4 in all.
4.
Remember to indent at the beginning of each paragraph.
You have 2
choices of how to write the report:
1. Type it on your computer and
print it
out.
OR
2. Hand write it on notebook paper.
Bring your report
to school when you're finished. As extra credit you may draw a picture of
your favorite animal to go with the report.
