A strong school health program has numerous opportunities to promote the health of pupils and other members of the community. The school environment, the help children receive in solving their health problems, the ideas about individual and community health which they form, and the information and understanding they acquire about themselves as human beings influence the development of attitudes and behavior conducive to happy, healthy, and usefully productive living.
