alley View Elementary provides a special approach to meeting the needs of children. We use an open classroom concept, where all of the students in a grade are taught in an open cluster by well-trained professionals who work together as a team. This provides opportunities for one-on-one, small group, whole class, or whole grade instruction.

The fulltime GATE (Gifted & Talented Education) program for students in grades 1-6 is another special feature of our school.

Teachers and staff work in an environment where there is opportunity for personal and professional growth through sharing and being held accountable for a team effort.

Children benefit from this pooling of resources and talent, and by experiencing the valuable lesson of seeing adults work together as a team. Many specialists complement the efforts of the classroom teachers and meet special individual needs of students. Teachers, students and parents believe that Valley View offers the best of many educational choices and programs, and they are very proud of their school that is "just a little bit different!"
