Dear families:

• Our Medieval Unit is going well!  Students are learning about this ancient culture and are comparing it to our culture today. We will be studying the "CREEPS" of Medieval and current times (culture, religion, education, economy, politics, and social life). So far we have learned about culture, religion, and education, economy and politics.
• We are reading novels and writing creative stories with Medieval topics during our language arts time.
  
•  We have begun learning about customary and metric units of measure in math!
  
• We are on the next step in our "doing what comes naturally" unit. we have begun to think like an -ologist or an -otonist.  We will be working on field guides and studying different "ologies", such as biology,  entomology, etc...Students will chose their area of interest and we will be working on biographies. This will be continued into January.

• The March book report is on a mystery book. The project will be creating a mask. This will be due March 19th.  Information has already been sent home. If you did not receive it, let me know!
